As the latest cohort of Hawkeyes prepares to graduate, we laud all they have accomplished.

This fall, nearly 1,700 University of Iowa undergraduate, graduate, and professional students will earn degrees. These Hawkeyes have engaged, excelled, and stretched to reach their goals.
One student chose to switch majors during the pandemic, following her passion for art and education, and is excited to teach art to young pupils near her rural Iowa hometown. A doctoral candidate in mechanical engineering successfully defended her dissertation—and gave birth three days later. A business student is among the first students to graduate with a degree in risk management and insurance—and already has started working at a brokerage in the Des Moines area.
A master’s student in business analytics who served as a data analyst for the Iowa baseball program spent the past year in a baseball analytics apprentice position with the reigning World Series champion Texas Rangers. After years of creating countless memories and energizing thousands of fans as part of the Hawkeye Marching Band, one student aims to create community through sport and recreation.
Year after year, our students have pushed to achieve more and to come together for the greater good—that’s the Hawkeye Way. As this cohort of new graduates enters the next stage of their lives, they leave campus full of potential and promise.
