More than 70 high school robotics teams from across Iowa convened in Coralville, Iowa, to showcase their skills and creations at the FIRST Tech Challenge Iowa Championship.

Robotics teams from high schools across Iowa (and eastern Nebraska) took over the floor at the Xtream Arena & GreenState Family Fieldhouse in Coralville, Iowa, as the University of Iowa College of Engineering hosted the 2025 FIRST Tech Challenge Iowa Championship.

The two-day event featured 72 teams competing in two divisions. Each division featured qualification matches, an alliance selection, and elimination matches. The winning alliance from each division squared off for the overall title.

Four teams from the Iowa Championship qualified for the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship:

  • Lion Robotics Gold, from Clear Lake
  • Aztechs, from Urbandale
  • Atomic Narwhals, from Johnston
  • Circuit Breakers, from Urbandale
